Level Up Your Game Review! 🧐 AI Analysis Added!

Hey Go Strategists!

We've been hard at work making our Go game an even better learning tool, and we're excited to roll out a significant upgrade to the Game Review system!

What's New? "Analyze This Move" with AI!

Ever finish a game (or load an old one) and wonder, "Was that really the best move I could have made there?" Now, you can get some serious insight!

When you're stepping through a past game in Review Mode, you'll find a new button: "Analyze This Move".

Here's what happens when you click it:

1. Thee AI Rewinds: Our KataNet AI (the same one you can play against!) looks at the board position right before the move you're currently reviewing was played.
2. "What Would the AI Do?": It then figures out what it would have considered the best move from that exact spot, playing as the same color you (or the original player) did.
3.  Score Check-up (Before & After):
   
   • The AI tells you what it thought the score was before your actual move.
   • Then, it shows you how the score looks after your actual move (from the next player's point of view).
4. Clear Comparison:
   • On the Board: You'll see a green marker showing where the AI would have played its top alternative.
   • Pop-up Info: A message will appear, clearly laying out:
     • The move that was actually played in the game.
     • The AI's #1 suggested move from the position before that.
     • The AI's score evaluation of the board before your move.
     • The AI's score evaluation of the board after your move.

Why is this cool?

• Learn from Your Games: See a direct comparison between your choices and a strong AI's suggestions.
• Understand Key Moments: Identify critical junctures where a different move might have significantly changed the game's flow or score.
• Spot Alternatives: Discover moves you might not have even considered!
• Contextual Evaluation: Get a better feel for how the AI "thinks" about different board positions.

This feature is all about helping you improve and get more out of every game you play or review. We've also updated the in-game Help section to explain this new analysis tool.

So, load up one of your saved SGFs, or review your last match against the AI, and give the "Analyze This Move" button a try! We think you'll find it incredibly useful for deepening your understanding of Go.
