Level Up Your Game Review! New Analysis Tools Added!

Hey Go Fans!

We've been hard at work making the post-game experience even more insightful and helpful for learning. Our latest update supercharges the Review Mode with some cool new analytical tools, designed to help you understand your games better and spot those moments where things went right (or a bit sideways!).

Here’s what’s new when you jump into reviewing a game:

1. See the Ebb and Flow with the Game Evaluation Graph!

• What is it? Ever wondered exactly when the tide turned in your game? Now, when you're in Review Mode, you'll see a line graph showing the AI's estimated score throughout the match (from Black's point of view).
• How it helps: A rising line means Black is doing well, a falling line means White is gaining the upper hand. Big spikes or dips? Those are your game-changing moments! It’s a fantastic way to get a bird's-eye view of the entire game's dynamics and pinpoint critical junctures at a glance.

2. Peek into the AI's Mind: Top Move Suggestions!

• What is it? When you click "Analyze This Move" for a move you or your opponent played, we're not just showing you the one move the AI thought was best. Now, you'll see the AI's top alternative suggestions marked right on the board!
• How it helps: The AI's #1 choice will be highlighted (usually in green, marked 'A'), but you'll also see its 2nd, 3rd, (and maybe 4th) best ideas marked with blue 'B', 'C', 'D' markers. This gives you a much better sense of the different good possibilities in a position, rather than just a single "correct" answer. It’s like getting a mini-lesson from a strong player about what options were on the table!

3. Know Your Moves: Quality Breakdown & Point Impact!

• What is it? Alongside the AI's suggestions, the "Analyze This Move" feature now gives you a clear quality rating for the move that was actually played.
• How it helps: Was it a "Good" move? An "Inaccuracy"? A "Mistake"? Or even a "Blunder"? The analysis will tell you! It also shows you approximately how many points were gained or lost compared to the AI's best line. This makes it much easier to understand the significance of each decision and focus your learning on the moves that had the biggest impact.

Why these features?

Our goal is to make this not just a place to play Go, but a place to learn Go. These new review tools are designed to:

• Make complex game analysis more accessible.
• Help you understand why certain moves are strong or weak.
• Give you concrete feedback to accelerate your improvement.

How to Use Them:

1. Finish a game (or load an SGF file).
2. Enter Review Mode (either by clicking "Review & Save Game" or automatically after loading an SGF).
3. Navigate through the game using the "Next" / "Prev" buttons or the move number dropdown.
4. Observe the Evaluation Graph update with each move.
5. For any move you're curious about (especially after move 0!), click "Analyze This Move".
6. Check out the AI's top suggested moves on the board (A, B, C markers) and read the quality breakdown in the "Move Analysis" panel.
