Take Control! "Play From This Position" Gets a Major Upgrade!

Hey Go Strategists!

We've rolled out a focused update to one of our most powerful learning and exploration tools: the "Play From This Position" feature in Game Review mode!

What's New with "Play From This Position"?

Ever been deep in reviewing a game (yours, a pro's, or an AI's) and had that "Aha!" moment where you wanted to jump in and try playing it out differently from a specific move? Now, it's more flexible and powerful than ever!

Here’s how it works now:

1. When you're reviewing a game and find that crucial moment, click "Play From This Position."
2. Instead of jumping straight into the game, you'll now see the Settings screen pop up.
   
3. This is where the magic happens! You can now configure exactly how you want to resume:
   • Want to switch from watching two AIs battle it out to playing as Black or White yourself against the AI? You can!
   • Need to change the AI's difficulty level for the continued game? No problem.
   • Want to adjust the Komi before playing on? Go for it!
   • You can even change the game mode entirely (e.g., from a PvAI review to a PvP game from that point).
4. Once you've tailored the settings to your liking, hit the "Apply & Resume Game" button.
5. You'll be taken right back to the board at the move you selected, but now with your new game configuration active!

Why This is Awesome:

This change gives you incredible control. Previously, resuming a game would stick with whatever settings were active. Now, you can:

• Experiment Freely: See how a game might unfold if you played a different strategy, or if the AI was stronger/weaker from a certain point.
• Targeted Practice: Set up specific mid-game positions from SGFs and then practice playing them out against the AI with settings you choose.
• Learn by Doing: Analyze a move, then immediately take over and test your understanding in a live play scenario.

We believe this enhancement makes "Play From This Position" an even more valuable tool for learning, analysis, and just having fun exploring the endless possibilities of Go.
