We're thrilled to roll out a brand-new update to "Go Game - Play against KataNet online," and this one is all about helping you learn and improve your game! Introducing the AI Teacher Mode!

What's the AI Teacher Mode?

Ever wished you had a friendly Go expert looking over your shoulder, giving you tips as you play? Well, now you do! The AI Teacher Mode is an optional feature that provides real-time feedback on your moves when you're playing against another player (Player vs Player) or against the AI (Player vs AI).

Its goal is simple: to help you understand the impact of your moves and spot potential mistakes before they cost you the game.

How Does It Work?

When AI Teacher Mode is active, here's what you can expect:

• 🛑 Blunder Warnings: If you're about to make a move that the AI thinks is a major blunder (a big mistake!), a warning will pop up.
  • It'll give you a heads-up, like: "⚠️ That move could lose about X points... Are you sure?"
  • You can then choose to "Confirm Anyway" or "Try Different Move."
• 🤔 Nudges for Sub-optimal Moves: For moves that aren't quite blunders but could be better, the AI Coach might give you a gentle nudge.
  • You might see a message like: "🤔 That move loses a few points. Consider these alternatives:"
  • Sometimes, the Coach will even highlight a few better spots directly on the board (marked with 'A', 'B', 'C')!
• 🌟 Praise for Good Moves: Made a great move? The AI Coach might let you know with a "🌟 Excellent move!" overlay. Keep it up!

Customize Your Coach!

We know everyone learns differently, so you can tailor the AI Teacher to your preference:

1. Enable/Disable: Find the "AI Teacher Mode (PvP/PvA)" toggle in the Settings menu.
2. Sensitivity Levels: Once enabled, you can choose the AI Coach's sensitivity:
   • Beginner: More frequent feedback, sensitive to smaller mistakes and nudges. Great if you're just starting out!
   • Intermediate: A balanced approach, focusing on more impactful errors and good plays.
   • Advanced: The Coach will mostly step in for major blunders.

Need a Break from the Coach?

Sometimes you just want to play without interruptions. No problem!

• During a game (PvP or PvA with the AI Teacher on), you'll see a "Pause Tutor" button in the "Actions" panel.
• Click it to temporarily disable the AI Teacher's feedback.
• Click "Resume Tutor" when you're ready for the Coach to chime in again.

How to Use It:

1. Open the Settings menu (button at the bottom of the screen).
2. Turn ON the "AI Teacher Mode (PvP/PvA)" switch.
3. Select your desired "AI Coach Sensitivity."
4. Start a new game in "Player vs Player" or "Player vs AI" mode.
5. As you play, the AI Coach will offer feedback based on your settings!
6. If you need a quiet moment, just hit "Pause Tutor" in the "Actions" panel.

This feature uses the same powerful KataNet AI that powers the computer opponent, so you're getting high-quality insights.
